My Beautiful Blogger Award (Sigh!)

Attached to this award is a condition that I enumerate 7 "interesting" things about myself:

1. I started this blog to de-stress from personal pressures that were overwhelming me at one point. ballerina'sclosetobsession is now a veritable joy as it gets me through the day. I've also met some of the kindest AND most fashionable girls on earth through it!

2. I've got closet OCD ... I like to count things; but only the trivial ones like how many plastic shopping bags I've refused this year. It's been 478 plastic shopping bags since January 15th of 2009! In case you're wondering why the number is ridiculously huge (I don't shop for clothes everyday?! Although I would really like to!) ... this includes my grocery shopping every week.

3. I "age" new shopping purchases in the closet. I've no idea how long an item should be aged. It varies depending on the item in question. It's largely a strange, gut feel.

4. I love my ballet students. They are the daughters I always wished to have. The hubby claims that I'm cloning little Ninas all over the place; but the truth is, my little ballerina girls each have a distinct fashion style of their own!

5. I have 3 containers filled with unused clothes. I look through them each time I can't seem to find anything in the closet that I feel like wearing.

6. My secretary washes all my clothes. She volunteered to do this ever since the household laundry woman destroyed a number of outfits. I wish you all had someone like her! My whites are really white and most of my clothes look new because of her tender, laundry care.

7. If I'm wearing something remotely revealing, I say goodbye to the hubby with a very quick kiss and run out before he can censor the outfit!
